[/caption]Richard Cooey, a rapist and murderer of two young women, believes he should not be forced to endure execution because he is fat. At 5'7" and 267 pounds, he has poor veins. In addition, he is currently on tax payer funded medicine for migraines that may have made his body resistant to the anesthesia provided during lethal injection.

Fuck him. He raped and murdered two people. They had no anesthesia. They had no choices. He's lived 22 years after killing two young women. And we worry about his suffering. Again, I say fuck him. He needs to pay for what he chose to do. And if it's painful, sorry. Death hurts. We're worried about making him comfortable on his way to hell?!?
I apologize for the language as I have tried to refrain from getting too vulgar in speech and content in recent months but this is one of those cases that society has pissed me off. Further, I have not personally decided whether I'm pro capital punishment or against it. But I am against going out of our way for folks convicted of rape, murder, child molestation, and any other crime against another person (as opposed to crimes against property). So if capital punishment is to be used, then do it with the same consideration the convicted had for their victim.
Update: His appeal was denied. He is scheduled to be executed on October 14, 2008.
