More on Black Gold

Apparently, there are some that are angry that Shani Davis decided to pursue individual gold at the Olympic games. I understand those that say he's not a team player. And in some regards, I respect their point of view.

But alas, the man trained for a specific event. The man doesn't train with the National program. So it appears that his so-called snub isn't in fact a snub.

In addition, there are those that are upset because he didn't take part in the team pursuit which the U.S. didn't do well. It's speculated that perhaps they would have won gold giving Chad Hedrick a chance for five medals. So let's get this straight, let's be mad at someone for pursuing their individual glory at the cost of someone else's . . individual . . . glory?
